Vineyard Safari -THE OFF SEASON

OFF SEASON 2026 SPECIAL - Choose between a bonus vintage wine, or warm winter mulled wine to enjoy on your tour of the vineyard whilst keeping warm under a Waverley Woolen Mills lap blanket. 

Embark on a tour of the Pipers River vineyard aboard luxury cart transport to discover the mystical art of viticulture and producing some of the world's best sparkling. Learn about water
management and perhaps even spot resident platypus Charlie in the wild, or one of the soaring wedge-tailed eagles high above the valley. The tour also stops for a picturesque view of the valley and a celebratory glass of bubbles.

This 90 minute tour around the property is a great experience for those who enjoy wine and wish to learn more about the art of viticulture, our local environment and our practices and endeavours towards a sustainable future as we take care of our space and leave it in a better condition for the next generation of world class winemakers and viticulturists.

Our Luxury cart is all weather and all terrain, with leather seats and cup-holders aplenty. The tour will take passengers on a journey through vineyard to winery to cellardoor across varied terrain and to the dam or stream where we have resident platypuses (all named Charlie). 

Along the way we hope to encounter our local wildlife including;

• The Tasmanian Wedge-Tailed Eagle aquila audax. fleayii. 
• White-Morph Goshawk
• Echidnas
• Little Brown Falcons & Swamp Harriers
• Superb Fairy Wrens
• Red & Pink Breasted Robins.
• Grey Fantails (AKA Cranky Fans) 
• Hares, Goats and other vineyard helpers, pests as well as general soil ecology.
  

This experience takes place within our cellardoor, at 40 Baxters Road, Pipers River, Tasmania and in different parts of the vineyard and property.
