OFF SEASON: Truffles & Vines: Private Tour

Join us for a day of collaboration and enthusiasm for all things winter and farming at two prestigious Tasmanian producers, Pipers Brook Truffles and the House of Arras. A unique celebration of the intricacies of harvest and Winter preparations as well as our faithful working dogs.

The day begins at Pipers Brook Truffles in the morning to be greeted by the fire and then be escorted on a truffle hunt guided by Diego the Kelpie, who is trained to sniff out the elusive truffles from beneath the fertile soils of Pipers Brook. You will have the opportunity to learn about the intricacies of truffle cultivation as well as how to use this unique ingredient at home. 

Following the truffle hunt, a private multi-course lunch encompassing gourmet truffle produce prepared by your hosts will be enjoyed within the rustic farm environment at Pipers Brook Truffles, before continuing along to Pipers River Vineyard, home of the House of Arras Cellar Door.

Here you will experience a private tasting through some rare museum wines crafted in our 30 year history as Australia's most awarded sparkling wine producer. You’ll be guided through a special masterclass and vineyard tour including a lesson about the winter pruning methods that we undertake to bring out the best in our vineyards, and why this leads to some of our wines being awarded the world's best accolades. 

This experience is for fixed dates at two locations 45 minutes Northeast of Launceston, as part of a special event curated for the OFF-SEASON program of events.

The day will finish at Pipers River at approximately 4:30, not long before it gets dark.
